I'm back from my errands and am catching up reading posts.
I want to point out that I have read two articles saying that Richard Clarke misstates (ahem--deliberately? or out of ignorance?) in his book that Saddam had the guy arrested. The facts are that the man received a house and a monthly stipend.
I have wondered aloud before why Richard Clarke attempts to paint Saddam as "tough on crime" when in reality he was rewarding and giving safe harbor to this terrorist.
Another reason to grant Richard Clarke zero credibility at this juncture in time.
