A dear friend of mine, who happens to be black, once told me that she had been disparaged by other blacks because she and her husband were successful in the world of whites...i.e. the mainstream.

This commission is a waste of time and taxpayers money! I would not give it one minute of my time. This a failed mission turned political when our troops are in harms way and we are at war with an enemy that wants to kill us all! IMHO every Democrat is a traitor and should be treated accordingly starting with Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd!

"The FBI had never prepared a formal assessment of the terrorist threat on the homeland" ... They were never directed to by the Clinton Adm., for whom combating terror "was its highest priority" (Clarke).
To: Peach
It's Reno time baby!
To: prairiebreeze
Pre 9/11. Considering how many times we were hit during the 90's, that is rather astounding.

If combating terrorism was the Klinton administrations "hightest prioroty", how could the FBI never complete a threat assessment? Today appears to be the "FBI falls on its sword" day to defend Klinton.
The chain-of-command is the FBI reports to the Attorney General who reports to the President.
Freeh -> Reno -> Klinton.

(The democRATS are near the tipping point.)

I believe that if more blacks realized just how much the RAT agenda is to keep them from being successful, their eyes would be opened significantly too a great many things.
Also, like you I believe there are moderate Democrats in this country that are sickened and disgusted by the tactics of their party "leaders". Glad you relayed your experience with it.

It's Reno time baby! That made me laugh so hard. Unfortunately, the leftists will treat her with kid gloves and the conservatives are too polite to hammer her hard on why she was so focused on Waco, Elian Gonzales and Microsoft vs. terrorists living in this country.

Unfortunately you are pretty much right. This commission has lost almost every shred of credibility. It's a huge waste of taxpayer money.

I almost wish we had the clapping/booing rules back now that I know 'Reno time' is going down today ..
To: kassie
No. It's the executive director of the commission reading a statement.
It's not clear to me who wrote the statement; might be a compilation of the commission's work thus far.

They only enforce the rules when it might benefit "our side"...we can have virtual clapping on the live thread however.

One benefit from this commission that I see is that they will be revealed for what they really are.......biased, anti-Bush, and vile partisans.
To: Peach
might be a compilation of the commission's work thus far. FoxNews reporterette said it was a review of their findings so far. Supposedly....
