There are a couple good posts on NRO's "The Corner" today about Gorelick's conflict of interest, FYI...

Black: I object to any statement that the CTC was unwilling to take out OBL, and was unwilling to try. (I think that might be a shot at Clarke).
To: GOPrincess
Some think the Dems planted Gorelick on the Commission to keep her from having to testify under oath before it; that she was the 'brains' behind the Reno DOJ. We shall see.

Amazing.... You never know where stuff will show up. I'm the one in the middle. LOL!

Cofer Black: Setting the record straight on the predator. Wanted to refine it to be armed since '99, but wanting and getting are not the same. Budget and meetings had to be considered. Mentions other concerns throughout the world.
He OBJECTS to some characterizations that have been made (that would be DICK Clarke who told Chrissy that the CIA was *100%* responsible for that getting UBL when he was spyed by that on predator back in the fall of 2000).

Wow, kewl, you look great!

Does anybody have quick access to an intel personnel time chart, i.e. who served when, under whom and in what capacity--Black, Pickard, etc.
To: Peach
LOL!

Interesting theory re Gorelick placement on the commission.
It's interesting to me that Republicans didn't raise her conflict issue at the outset. Nor, to my knowledge, has anyone in the media prior to today.

Black: I object to any statement that the CTC was unwilling to take out OBL, and was unwilling to try. (I think that might be a shot at Clarke). This guy is serious and not messing with words

Which reminds me...why aren't more families speaking out publicly in support of GWB? I've heard several of them on local NYC talk radio stations and many of their opinions have been expressed in various articles in the NY Post. That's about the extent of it though. The alphabet networks have an agenda and probably aren't offering them air time. But they're out there. If you think about it, there have to be thousands of family members, yet we only hear from 4.

for that getting UBL = for NOT getting UBL
MM---yes, that was a shot at Clarke who says Clinton was doing all he could and it was the other agencies who failed.
Black closing saying he fears the country is forgetting the type of thread we're facing.
To: cyncooper
Wow, this guy should ruffle some feathers!!!
To: Miss Marple
Oh, boy. Good find, Miss Marple.
And I've missed most of his opening statement because a neighbor called.
Drats - I've told my husband to answer the phone henceforth and I am UNAVAILABLE!

(Libs, want answers on 911? Ask Clinton why he met with Monica more than with his CIA director.)
To: Mo1
Wow - he asked other agents, et al, what they wanted him to say. Among them, we were underfunded, not enough people, etc. Says he's taking full responsibility for the people in the counter terrorism center.
He again stated not enough people regarded this as war.

"Heck, the whole thing has degenerated into a soviet style show trial and not an honest inquiry that everyone deserves."
Makes you wonder if there were any Jews clapping at the Nuremberg Trials. Somehow I doubt it.
To: Mo1
He is is saying that the terror threat will always be there until we deal with the "causes"...and that is not the counterterrorism center's job...
How do we deal with the Islamic beliefs? They blame America for their problems..How do we change that?
