Mrs. Mariani, widow of one of the victims of 911, wants to know why John Ashcroft has not flown on any airplane since the summer before 911. Guest Host Pat Buchanan and guest Peter King R-N.Y. were visibly astounded at the insinuation that Ashcroft knew an attack was immenent. Peter King, while agreeing that the CIA and FBI dropped the ball, stated that the commision should ask questions based in reality and not start going down the road to kookism.

She's evidently referring to this: Ashcroft Flying High from July 26, 2001.

In response to inquiries from CBS News over why Ashcroft was traveling exclusively by leased jet aircraft instead of commercial airlines, the Justice Department cited what it called a "threat assessment" by the FBI, and said Ashcroft has been advised to travel only by private jet for the remainder of his term.

"There was a threat assessment and there are guidelines. He is acting under the guidelines," an FBI spokesman said. Neither the FBI nor the Justice Department, however, would identify what the threat was, when it was detected or who made it.

There's little doubt that Ashcroft will be asked about his knowledge of threats before 9/11 and why he chose to take whatever precautions, so this Scarborough lady's remarks sound like unnecessary grandstanding.

Is this poor soul incapable of connecting the huge dots that lead straight back to goreghoul and sinkEmperor, and lesser officials like Ms Gorelick? That the dnc wants such obscene interviews aired by their media goons is proof that the democrat party will do ANYTHING to regain power over this nation. The Republic cannot afford such a mistake again for a very long time, if ever, without major overhaul in the dnc leadership.

I just turned on Scarborough. Looks like Pat Buchanan is hosting. The next segment is on "Why did the film 'The Alamo' paint an American hero as a coward?" That's my type of show. In general, I like Scarborough.

An oversight is when a reasonably competent person makes a mistake, misspelling Niger with two g's and letting it get on the air is hateful in the extreme.
