Former Senator Slade Gorton (R) of WA (Seattle) who was ousted by Sen. Maria Cantwell (otherwise known as Cant"budget"well. She ran on the platform that she wouldn't use PAC money. However, when the bottom fell out of the technologies (where she had her money), she started fundraising like there was no tomorrow. Any and all monies were acceptable. She went so far as to have the Clintoonians host fundraisers, as well as having the Clintoons as guests of her fundraisers. Slade Gorton is WA's John McCain, liberal pub. When the US Senate voted on impeacing Billy Bubba, there were 5 (I think) issues to vote on. Slade, then senator, voted for a guilty plea on 3 of the 5. Ticked me off something fierce. He lost to Cantbudgetwell when he ran for re-election.
