I don't think most media (at least not the media Kerry agrees to talk to) will ever ask him these hard questions. They just take the MTV approach and begin with "obviously, Kerry is a war hero, unlike George Bush who only poses on aircraft carriers". To even question Kerry's record is seen as unthinkable, such are the depths of Kerry worship/Bush hatred.

The objective of the Kerry campaign's attack on Bush's record in the Air National Guard was to put Bush on the defensive and divert any real attention on Kerry's military service beyond what is already in the mainstream media. It seems to have worked to a limited extent as most in the Administration go out of the way to say that Kerry served his country honorably and had a distinguished military record. Hopefully, GWB surrogates will demand more information on Kerry's service and suspicious early departure from Vietnam and questionable circumstances surrounding his medals.

Any guy who films himself as some sort of ground pounding grunt in the jungle and recreates "battles" has a political ambition that exceeds normal bounds. Kerry is a self-promoting poseur.
