Cat lovers take note . . .
One of the Lurkin cats age ten years is overweight - she was spoiled with 'people food'
The other Lurkin cat is slim and trim at seven - never got 'people food'.

The Virgo kitty has been ruint.
Though not by me.
The ladies downstairs have taken to Ralph, and they feed her. All the time.
LOL then they ask me if she's pregnant. Go figure.
Problem is, they think it's harmless "spoiling".
*sigh* Of course, Ralph demands it now... and has become increasingly picky and overweight.

Next door to us the woman had a 28 lb cat. It was huge. It resembled not so much a cat but a large ball.

Well, I fed my youngest (we have six cats) Purina One, as a kitten, and she ballooned up to 15 pounds as a one-year old.
I switched her to IAMS. She lost six pounds, only because she just doesn't like the IAMS.

Cats are weird. People who own cats are weird. Some cat owners are really weird.
Cats are the pennies of the animal kingdom.

I recently took "Elvis" to the vet, and he weighs 21 lbs. Apparently I feed him too much. I kinda got stuck with the roommate (cat) under duress, and as an ex-farmer, I've been conditioned to fatten up animals I guess. He gets low-cal now, a lot less often, and isn't a bit happy about it. I have to lock all the food in the house up.

So far we have had four cats. All four had exactly the same diets. Three were lean, mean and healthy and male. One is fat and female.
The fat one is enrgetic, curious and smart. She is always on the move. She never walks when she can run. She only sleeps about 12 hours a day. She loves to learn new tricks. She loves to play with the other cats. She will wear them out one by one.
Shurg.
