An FBI (news - web sites) fingerprint examiner, Louis Hupp, said under cross examination by defense attorney Barbara Bergman that he mistakenly testified to finding Nichols' prints on a crucial piece of evidence. Hupp attributed the mistake to "an administrative error."

A case of this importance, and they made an "administrative error" on a piece of crucial evidence...Yeah, Right.

I really, really would like to believe the FBI is not riddled with politics. Unfortunately, the history has all too many instances where the FBI made the evidence fit their interpretation of the crime.

It seems that from the beginning, the FBI was mostly obsessed with the agency's image, rather than the truth.
