The really, really scary thing is that this site could have probably given just as through a briefing as the one in question. Richard Clarke and the intelligence community had been working for decades and this was the sum of the threat intel that we had to work with the month prior to the strike.

We now know what George Bush knew and when he knew it.
Now we need Cynthia McKinney and Sheila Jackson Lee to explain to us how this information and the timing of it would have prevented 9/11.(sarcasm/off)

Let's see how long it takes for some DUmmy to declare that this was OBVIOUSLY falsified to downplay the Bush role in 9/11.

There are several important thread out there today that intrepid Freepers culled about what Clark said / or did in actuality about terrorism during the Clinton Administration. These are eye openers and taken in conjunction with the pdb release, highly informative.
In 1999, Richard Clarke cited gains against bin Laden; "We've made life difficult for him"

and this one: In 2000, Richard Clarke argued against WH based Interagency Coordination Office for Terrorism

Drudge has links to one or two of them.

The Lefties are jumping all over this as proof that somehow this could have been prevented. I just don't think so. Short of shutting the whole country down for an indefinite period of time, just what Bin Laden would have wanted, what do you do?
The President receives tons of threats every day, which ones are given credence over others.
The only possible way there may have been some kind of prevention, maybe, is if all the intelligence agencies and the FBI had been sharing information. There again though the shear volume of that information is more than all the agencies together can assimilate to analyze. Therefore the reliance on the super computers at the NSA, etc. to sift through this looking for preprogrammed words, etc. for something to be flagged for analysis.
Nothing is as simple as these idiot Democrats and Lefties think it is or more importantly want you to think it is.
This is where is might be time for Bush to contemplate giving a major speech to bring out these points and throwing it right back into the Rats.
