We probably insisted that prohibition be put in, for good reason at the time.
We could just as easily encourage them to provide important support, in the fight against terrorism. They appear to be doing so.
If they don't call it "war" it isn't prohibited.
In the future, if WWIII develops further, they may have to amend their constitution, to provide for surviving. (They aren't muslims, so they will be under attack---particularly if they don't fight back).
