On this we agree. I cant tell you much, but I can say, ( I just asked) that the airline I work for scans the future reservations systems for any potential trouble. In the Arab world names are very similar, so we get a lot of alerts telling us to verify creds on a particular person becuse his name, DOB, or SSN is similar or the same as someone on a no fly list. In fact there is a whole department dedicated to this. Im trying to find the article now, but another airline did a story about their department and how they walk a fine line between civil rights and terrorism. In my opinion, in a linited way, these two cancel eachother out..
