BERLIN (AFP) - Two German government security workers have been missing in Iraq (news - web sites) for several days, the German foreign ministry told AFP.

"Two civil servants working for the German mission in Baghdad have been missing for the past few days," a ministry spokeswowan said Saturday, confirming earlier television reports.

"There is no evidence to suggest it is a hostage-taking."

Any Caucasian, no matter what nationality, should take precautions. These rag head extremists are a barbaric murderous lot ... they'll probably find these two Germans floating face down in the Tigris River.

Can't be, I thought Germany didn't want anything to do with Iraq. Nothing to see here.

FYI. These civil servants have now been identified as two GSG-9 members. A 38 and a 25 year old. If you know what GSG-9 is you know that there is a LOT more going on....

Germany deploying GSG9 in Iraq is very strange indeed. Maybe they were former GSG9 and worked as contractors?

According to german TV "Heute" (ZDF) they were there to protect embassy employees and the embassy itself.
No, they are CURRENT members but according to the newest info they are suppose to be dead. Don't know if this is speculation or not though...

Two *Civil Servants*, huh. Yeah, I guess you could call them that. Just wait until their fellow *office workers* come looking for them...
