Arrests Made; Missing 4-Year-Old Boy Found


Deven Templeton Missing Since March 11

OTTUMWA, Iowa -- A 4-year-old Ottumwa boy missing for almost one month was found in Kentucky, and three people have been arrested in the case.
Police in Louisville, Ky., arrested Beth Lee Ann Templeton (pictured, below right), 21, and James Edward Browning, 30, on Iowa arrest warrants.
Deven Cole Templeton (pictured, left), 4, has been missing since March 11, when Beth Templeton is accused of assaulting a social worker in Ottumwa and then fleeing with her son, Deven, with whom she does not currently have legal custody.
Beth Templeton was charged with serious assault and violation of a custodial order. Browning was charged with violation of a custodial order. Both subjects are being held in Louisville pending extradition proceedings.
Thursday, Gary Lee Templeton, 57, was arrested in connection with the investigation and was charged with violation of a custodial order. Gary Templeton is being held in the Wapello County Jail.
Deven Templeton has been placed into the custody of child protection services in Louisville. Arrangements will be made to bring him back to Iowa.
