Proposed anti-gay marriage amendment will be on Mississippi ballots in Novemeber

JACKSON, Miss. - Mississippi voters will decide in November whether to amend the state constitution to include a ban on same-sex marriages.

The amendment also would prohibit the state from recognizing gay unions performed in other states.

Mississippi has banned same-sex marriages by law since 1997. Supporters of a constitutional amendment say it would protect the law if there are court challenges.

With little discussion, the state Senate this week gave final approval to putting a proposed amendment on the Nov. 2 general election ballot, when people also will vote for president, members of Congress and some judges.

Georgia legislators also have voted to put an anti-gay marriage amendment on that state's Nov. 2 ballot.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.

Too bad the editors and reporters always say "anti-gay" or "banning gay marriage".

Crap. What they should say is "defending marriage".

Le me know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.

P.S. I won't be doing any pinging until late Monday or early Tuesday. Going away from computer *sniff..:-(*

Negativity sells and it paints us "haters."
See how that works?
We're wrong, we're mean, we hate.
They, on the other hand,
just want to ruin civilization and make God go away.
After this vote, they can stay the hell out of MS.

The ban will pass with 75%. Even the Delta Counties will vote overwhelmingly for the ban.

I'll bet my paycheck to a Dunkin Donut this amendment passes. We aren't afraid to stand up for morality and be politically incorrect.

Right on. That's all they are doing. And most don't even realize they must have normal people to survive as a species.(of sorts)

We don't need this junk anyway. They are just self destructing creatures with little or no understanding.

They can call us what they will(they do anyway)but if we do bow down to their demands, it won't stop there. Unlike Hollywood, this will not have a give and take, compromise or happy ending. Lambda and Nambla just as well leave before they get busted by extremists.I disapprove of violence, but I can't stop them. And Matthew Shepard was killed for his money, not for being gay.Don't flash your money around in public, stupid!
