Sudan was never ever going to hand anyone to Washington especially Osama. The problem was that we were negotiating with Sudan - a sign of cupidity and stupidity - when we should have sent in a kill team.
The scandal is that we negotiated and actually thought Sudan would hand OBL over not that Clinton failed to get Sudan to hand him over. You people actually think those negotiations were legit? Would have paid off?
Sudan was suckering us so Osama could escape to Afghanistan. I find it shocking that Clintonistas were stupid enough to think negotiations with Sudan would produce Osama and I find it shocking some Freepers think so too. I repeat negotiations with a jihadist regime in Sudan is the real scandal!

What negotiations? Clinton said we had no basis on which to hold him. Why would he negotiate? The "scandal" is the fact that Clinton had the opportunity to get OBL and chose not to.
If you wish to conjure up some fantasy that Sudan was not acting in good faith, be my guest. Since that is not relevant to Clinton's actions, I don't care what they were doing.
