Sins of Commission (What the 9/11 commission should recommend – but probably won't)

It's not supposed to be about politics. It's not supposed to be about settling scores. It's not supposed to be entertainment. But those are the ways the 9/11 commission's work is being framed for American and international audiences.
The 9/11 Commission formally known as the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States was charged with two goals: (1) Figure out how trans-national terrorists managed to defeat America's intelligence and national security community, and (2) provide recommendations for more effectively combating the Free World's sworn enemies in the future.
But partly because of the elite media's penchant for simplified conflicts and morality plays, partly because former White House terrorism adviser Richard Clarke has an ax to grind, and party because of the intense partisanship in this election year, the focus has rarely been on what broke and how to fix it. Instead, the emphasis has been on who can be blamed and who benefits from laying blame.

I have a new suggestion for President Bush and Condi.
I think they should hire the NJ 4 (professional whining widows) as the new U.S. Security team. Their responsibility will be the safety of all Americans in the United States.
Therefore, it will be THEIR fault if the United States ever gets attacked again. They seem to be so smart and know everything there is to know. They have read all there is about 9/11, even made scrapbooks, canvassed Congress, spoke to Bill Clinton, and even contributed testimony and questions about the failure to this 9/11 commission.
They must implement ALL the suggestions from their own fought-for 9/11 commission. Bush and Condi can give them the money, the staff, the access to the FBI and CIA, etc -- everything they need to be successful.
But they have to run the whole show. If we should ever be attacked again, we get to try them in a court of law for not protecting us. After all, the results of their 9/11 commission is supposed to predict and prevent all future similar events to 9/11 by looking backward and analyzing what went wrong.
Millions of dollars have been spent on this commission, they have had all the access to all the information, they have gotten to interview everyone they wanted to. So, there should be ZERO future attacks, right? I wonder if these four widows would be willing to take the job knowing that possible jail time would be the result for their failure?
They seem to be so assured that they know all the answers, why would they be afraid to gamble on their own results?

I'm struck by the lack of focus upon Goreghoul's refusal to make anything happen from the commission he headed reviewing airline safety and precautions to be enacted ... the camapign contributions obviously bought his cooperation, but not one damn media hitman has ever really addressed Gore's culpability regarding hardening of cockpits or terminal securities. And if the DNC ever gets back into power, look for the same sort of failure and the catastrophic results that followed clinton-gore inactions and blatant graft for cooperation.

Those women are the sad dupes of the dnc and the democrat manipulation of this nation's psyche. If they continue to chant long enough, they will start to believe their own served up talking points lies.
