I understand that Ethan Allen wasn't exactly the favorite patriot of those in NY, but he WAS a patriot and his troops capture of Fort Ticonderoga was certainly a great benefit to our breaking away from England -- so you might want to cut the man just a bit of slack.
OK, so maybe I'm spending just a tad too much time studying colonial history with my six year-old...still Ethan Allen IS one of his favorites.
