One has to wonder what the sales will be like when it's release in Poland, Italy, and Central and South America. This film phenom was only just begun. And well deserved. Sadly it is only believers that will get it.

"Sadly it is only believers that will get it."I would beg to differ. It is such a moving story that it is spurring many to look to the Gospel--including Arabs. Methinks Mel has done something very, very special...

In anticipation of the Easter season, Gibson's film about the last 12 hours in Jesus Christ's life expanded again last week by 194 venues to 3,408 theaters nationwide. That theater count will make "Passion" the most widely circulated film in the marketplace. Amazing. I remember when Gibson couldn't get any distributor in Hollywood to touch it, and we were wondering how much distribution little New Market could do. At one point months ago, I'd heard that one theater in nearby Ft. Worth might be showing it, and friends were investigating that potential venue.

John 3:16-18 will become understandable for many moviegoers as they view the sacrifice Jesus made for mankind on the cross.
For God so loved the word that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.
God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
There is no judgment awaiting those who trust Him. But those who do not trust Him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.

Churches in Australia are reporting a noticable increase in Good Friday Services this year and the report is that it is due to the Passion.

It's now #63, and let us not forget that "The Ten Commandments" from the '50s hit #5.

So do I, and strongly. The remark is more fitting to come out of the mouth of a Muslim than a Christian.

Because all Christians agree about Jesus, the Christ.

Monday ticket sales were up 8% from 1 week earlier.
Tuesday ticket sales were up 19% from 1 week earlier.
Wednesday ticket sales were up 39% from 1 week earlier
and up 9% from 2 weeks earlier.
Thursday ticket sales numbers are not yet available
If this keeps up through the weekend the numbers could get very interesting.
I expect TPOTC to easily move from #10 overall to #8 overall and maybe even #7 overall. We'll see when the estimates roll in Monday morning for the weekend - Fri/Sat/Sun.

It will be competing with Disney's $95 million film, "The Alamo"
Don't waste $ on this "The Alamo".
I've heard 3 reviews...even the liberal reviewer was panning it for
sheer boredom.

Not to be disrespectful, but in a year or so, it will be interesting to collect
the headlines for all the news-stories about "The Passion".
I bet there will be at least one with a title like "Son of God Has Legs",
given a prolonged, profitable run.

Billy Bob Thorton as Davey Crockett? All the great western stories went away with John Wayne, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers,
The last Western I really liked was Dances With Wolves, and one Mel Gibson did with James Garner (Forgot the Name) and Clint Eastwood has made some pretty decent westerns.

But those who do not trust Him have already been judged....Yes, it appears so. And rather harshly I might add. Shall we start a Christian "Jihad"?
