Canada has a Charter of Rights. It ostensibly protects both freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
But it appears that freedom of speach is now limited to the freedom to parrot the conventional wisdom. Unconventional views will not be tolerated if they conflict with left wing views, or for that matter, nor will long standing religious teachings.
