The "outsourcing" of call centers to India is a tiny, tiny amount relative to our GDP and is lost in the noise. The level of this outsourcing has been going up and down for some time. Many companies who thought it was a good idea have since changed back.
It is ultimately called capitalism in action.

That's a crock. The truth is that new call centers are being created outside this country because equal protection under the law isn't profitable enough for American companies now that Pandora's box has been opened. They can compete against American workers under different rules and put other US businesses out of business and disenfranchise American workers while posting record profits that reflect on the GDP. They're wiping their behinds with the 14th ammendment and the rest of the Constitution and using Nafta to say they can do it. In the mean time, we're being told it's good for us while they fudge the figures.
