I have an educated guess as to the source of the trouble. Recently there was a thread from admin about a poster being banned (after a second chance). The thread contained a link to an anti-Freeper site. You probably know what it is, so I'm not going to link it again. I'd never heard of them and started lurking there out of morbid curiosity. The prolific banned one is, as you probably know, very obsessed with and angry at all things Free Republic. Within the past several days I saw a thread there in which he and his similarly obsessed friends were discussing how much trouble FR might have if they all started complaining to media outlets about copyright violations on FR.
