I can assure you river rat that the LORD God has saved my son's life on more than one occasion! I was awaken about 2 in the morning one night and heard my son screaming my name. I hit the floor on my knees and started reading the Psalms - inserting his name. As I was praying I saw him stark naked (in a clear capsule) going up - screaming "Mom" and I could hear him. I continued to pray and he would descend; then ascend again. This happened three times and each time I looked at the clock. He was in northern CA in cold weather survival and he had eaten a poison bulb found in a water bed (not indigenous to the area so not on the do not eat list). First he went blind, then he could not stand up; his partner got him down the the camp hdqrs and he was driven to the nearest hospital. The doctors there told the Marines that he was going to die; his only chance was a hospital in NV (one that catered to the likes of King Hussien from Jordon). They sent by helicopter with a priest waiting on the tarmac to give the last rites. At the hospital his heart stopped three times (the times I saw on the clock); they shocked him back. The doctor spoke with me three days later on the phone and told me it was truly a miracle that he lived! The specific are too involved to go into, but the LORD God surely moved in his behalf, as HE has done on several occasions since.
