I am making the pledge.
To: redlipstick
Well, I have had no cable or satellite since '99, so claiming to boycott MSNBC is rather overstating it.

Did you realize yet that GWB is a boomer?
(And so am I...)
To: redlipstick
If I never watch it, does that count?
To: redlipstick
Don Imus is a huge McCain supporter.
Need I say more?

Well... I ALREADY don't view it, so, does that count? I'll boycott it.

re the purpose of this thread:
I NEVER watch MSNBC. However, in the name of a boycott, because I DO have digital cable, I wonder if it'd register/do any good if I'd start turning to Chrissy's show and then immediately switch channels? ;)

If I never watch them, does that count as a boycott? Because a boycott means you had to watch them in the first place.
Go ahead, put me down for a boycott vote.

I see you've already reached your goal, so here is my 2 cents worth. The problem with the boycott is that it breaches that ole rule of keeping your friends close but your enemies closer. You can't fight what you don't know or understand. FWIW.

No boycott from me. MSNBC provides a good "middle ground" between the other two 24/7 cable networks. BTW, Imus is slamming Matthews, big time, this morning for his performance on Hardball last night. Imus said he will never watch Hardball again.
I never watch Hardball or O'Reilly or Hannity and Colmes. Can't stand the screaming matches. Horrible interviewers all.
F'n Kerry is coming up on Imus at 8:29am Eastern.
To: redlipstick
Don't know that my vote counts since my cable company doesn't subscribe to MSNBC, but count me in if only to voice my disgust with them.

VANITY: I'll Make an FR Donation for Everyone Who Pledges to Boycott MSNBC I never watch them anyway - does that count?

MS + NBC
Been boycotting them both for a decade. And their "love child", too, since it was "born".

I understand your viewpoint, and I shared it until this week.
But, IMHO, MSNBC is no longer the middle ground between FOX and CNN. Chris has pulled it too far to the tin-foil hat side of the left.
Honestly, I respect your decision, especially if you'll give me Imus reports.

I have never started watching it, does that count?
If I am somewhere such as a Dr.'s office where they have it on, I face the other way or read a magizine.

Put me on your boycott list...I will never watch MSNBC again!
To: redlipstick
I have similar feelings as you but I'm going to watch Matthews and Imus for a little more time, but my reason is that I want one of them to make the fatal mistake that will send them packing.
Matthews making a statement like "Who in Washington would you like to give chemical to to make them talk?" is what I'm talking about.
As for Imus, he's gone over the edge too. Every day we loose some of our soldiers he's ready to throw in the towel and hide under the bed. He's turns on Pres. Bush at the drop of the hat.
The other day his sidekick Bernard McGuirk went as far as to blame the Rush Limbaughs for the four civilian contractors killed in Falluja. I'm waiting for him to say the same thing to Sen. McCain and Sen. Lieberman who pushed for us going into Iraq.
So I won't be boycotting MSNBC yet, but my intentions are not honorable.
