I did such a thing.
Actually, I paid someone to do it, four times. The blood is on my hands nonetheless.
I confessed to having contracted for these murders, and I have confidence that God's forgiveness is infinite.
Sometimes I still don't sleep at night, though. What a monster I was.

"I did such a thing. "
If there were no "doctors" willing to do abortions for hire, it would tempt a lot fewer men and women to opt for that "solution" during troubled times.
For a doctor, a healer, to feel and see and etc etc and STILL be able to kill unborn babies, day after day after day -- that has to be a certain kind of depravity. Those who repent, repent mightily. Have you read Nathanson's testimony? He became a Catholic in order to be able to confess . . .
One of the benefits of Confession, is that it is forgiven and you can let it go. God Bless you for your testimony, though, for it gives hope and courage to others.

I understand what you're saying; I'm talking about the person who's comfortable with it. Particularly think of someone with a doctor's level of understanding of what's involved.... The human capacity for rationalization is, I think, the most frightening aspect of our nature.

I did such a thing. Tuesday, my son came to talk to me about some things he's been getting into trouble with a LOT lately. He asked me if I remembered when he lied to me last weekend and when he hit his siter. I told him yes. He asked me if God could ever forgive him for all the things he's done. I told him about redemption and that God could forgive him anything if he honestly felt regret, prayed for forgiveness, tried to make things right and worked hard to be a better person. He's been a very happy kid these last two days.
We're all children. Learning, stumbling and breaking things as we stumble through life. Most of us get better with practice. But, it's a lot easier to forgive yourself when you're the only one who gets hurt in the process. Bless you for your honesty. It takes a very good soul to admit they're on the wrong path and to turn the horse around when they see they're going in the wrong direction.
