To know someone is in a state of grave sin and do nothign to try to correct them is an evil we see far too often.

No, no, that's not right ~ you are referring to Corinthians 1 ~ which has a very clear injunction against eating and drinking things offered to idols.
Did you ever attend a family religious observance with a Hindu friend? It's a trip. They still do the burnt offering and sacrifice of the first fruits. The theology surrounding it is the same as the ancient religion of which we get a glance in the early parts of Genesis.
Makes you think about it. But, sure enough, at some point you will be offered food and drink which were, in fact, "dedicated" if not "sacrificed" to what you and I might well think of as idols. So, what do you do?
The trick is to join with your Hindu friend's Moslem friends (who are also there since none of us refuse such invitations from any friend). You stand away from the ceremonies, arms across your chest, and try to avoid being embarrassed that the Christians and Moslems are huddled together in some sort of religious ghetto that excludes the Hindu who is doing nothing more than Father Adam or Father Noah (Ma Nu) or Father Abraham might well have been doing, or even that Jesus own Earthly father probably did.
My personal preference is Timothy.
