Overwhelming force would entail 2000lb JDAMs on all mosques, carpet bombing or MOABs on falluja, ramadi, najaf, and other shitholes occupied by the muslim terrorists, unrestrained deployment of heavy armor into those "cities", napalm, flamethrowers, and so on. The USMC should have learned from Hue City what it costs in US lives when we try to protect religious "shrines" - remember the Citadel? It ended up as a lot of rubble eventually because the NVA - like the vermin we are now fighting - were in it to the death.
