Clinton's agenda was to take us down several pegs in the world--to put us on the same level as the rest of the screwed up socialist countries. He does not believe in the primacy of America, nor our special place in the world.

And neither do the leftist media, both here and in Europe. They consistently censor any news regarding secrets 'shared' with totalitarian regimes.

It should always be pointed out that clinton was in office for 2920 days, and did not stop terrorism against the US.

GWB was in office for 233 days when Sept. 11 came around, less than a tenth of the time clinton had to do something about this.

Even 9/11 commissioner Leyman was truly overjoyed and his eyes were even glazed over with joy when relaying the news about Clinton's testimony.

I think Clinton has some type of mind control that turns the person looking into his eyes to mush.

We will have future commissions that ask the questions that the present commission is asking. We've had similar investigations in the past:

ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: First thing we discovered, of course, as we began to get into the security issue more and more was that it's widely - security affairs are widely dispersed throughout the U.S. Government. Many people have a chunk of it. It's difficult to pinpoint responsibility. But, of course, one of the main things that runs throughout this question is the funding for it.
PHIL PONCE: And you believe it's been seriously under-funded?
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: Yes, very much so. It certainly has not improved in the last decade the vulnerability of position of these embassies. Now, that's striking, given the Inman report of 1985, which pointed out many of the things. And one of the things that -
PHIL PONCE: The Inman report came out after the 1983 bombings -
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: That is correct.
PHIL PONCE: -- of the American embassy in Beirut and the Marine barracks bombing.
ADMIRAL WILLIAM CROWE, JR.: One of the main things that struck is most notably is we keep running across recommendations that turn out to be the same ones the Inman report made. Not much has changed, but those recommendations are still very valid.

I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that after Pearl Harbor, naval ships tied off, three or four abreast, was discouraged. I wonder what policy is today?

That's the nature of this country as Dr. Rice pointed out in her testimony. We let danger grow until it's too late. President Bush has changed since 9-11, the 'Rats haven't.

In 1998, while al-Qaeda plotted and bombed American targets, Bill Clinton held but two cabinet meetings:

And habitually late for any meetings he did attend, sometimes hours late, from what I've read. Nothing quite says "I have contempt for you" like the honcho calling a meeting, then making them wait for him to show up. Billy Jeff Perv is a little man.

And we have a feeling of invincibility that quickly returns after being shocked out of it by watershed events--Pearl Harbor, Sputnik, 9-11. With an accompanying feeling of wanting to be the victim and wanting someone, anyone, to be held responsible. The melting pot has been left on boil and though the immigrants clad in gray emerged from Henry's pot in suit and tie, they've marched off to foreign climes, while the rest of us can't even feel the heat anymore. Or sumpin.

Bye the way, great work. Thank you.

Thank you. There's still alot of good people coming to this country. It'd be better if all of them did so legally, but that's for another thread.

Clinton sure knew how to sneak in under the radar by appearing before the committee right after Condi did.

At least Ben Veniste had the chance to read our report beforehand :-)

He's never late for meetings when it's for the cameras, or when there's political hay or headlines to be made. I hope his former cabinet members appreciate the contempt he and Hillary! had for them.

Clinton laughed off concerns of a national security breach, telling Ms. Lewinsky that if they were blackmailed to say they were just making it up.

IOW's it occured to Monica Lewinsky that national security was being endangered but not to Bubba.

There are some stupid and self-serving people in this world but the Commander in Briefs is definitely the king.
Even a guy like Saddam would have to be considered a minor leaguer next to him.
