John Thomas Wrobleski, Lieutenant U.S.M.C
His mother | 8 April 2004 | Joe Boucher

Posted on 04/08/2004 3:12:01 AM PDT by Joe Boucher

Last night due to severe wounds from battling in the Sunni Triangle on 6 Apr 2004 my nephew and personal hero John Thomas Wrobleski succumed to his injuries.

J.T. was a lieutenant in the U.S.M.C. He joined the marines 2 days after 9-11. He was born and lived in the north of New Jersey and joined after having many friends in the twin towers perish. 7 months ago he was married to a most wonderful girl who is now a widdow. He leaves 3 brothers a mom and dad and about 50 other family members and hundreds of friends. When he returns we as a family will come together to celebrate this American heros life. Thank you all for your many prayers and may GOD protect our brave American troops wherever they are.

I don't have the words to adequately express what I feel. My eyes filled with tears reading your post, and all I can say is thank you to your nephew for his sacrifice and bravery, and may he rest in peace. God bless him and all of the other brave people in Iraq fighting for the cause of freedom.

You have my condolences, sir.

Someone once asked, back in the Indochina days, "Where do we get such men?"

Be Seeing You,

Chris

May the Lord bless you and the family.

This Marine is a hero to each of us... and all of us, as I'm sure he is to those warriors he led.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

SIR:

I did not know your nephew, 1LT Wrobleski. But, I knew OF him.

Because men like him, stand with me in formation and present themselves at muster, ready to do what's right and good for all of us.

This is a time of grief for you, and your vast family. But it's also a time for fellowship, for that family to gather to support each other, as The Lieutenant supported us while on duty.

I will not weep for 1LT Wrobleski. I will remember his duties, celebrate his achievements, and honor his service to the nation. And, so shall us all.

I'll end this, with a quote from Richard Adams:

"My Heart has joined The Thousand. For a Friend stopped Running, today."

While it may not be much comfort to you now, know that we appreciate how truly blessed we are to have young people of your nephew's caliber defending our freedom. May he rest in peace, and may God comfort you and your family.
