a case for taking him to the animal shelter and having him put to sleep.

I notice another thread circulating right now saying that the guy who shot dead the person attempting to steal his car is being charged with MURDER (in California no less).

Car equals personal property. Pet equals persoanl property (in the eyes of the law)
