[history]
A Priest Lake man killed his neighbor's 2-pound miniature Yorkshire terrier by kicking it into the air like a football, police said, and authorities have charged him with animal cruelty.
Jelani Lewis and Jessica McKenzie say they are outraged at the death of their 17-year-old pet, Gizmo. Lewis said he watched helplessly early yesterday as three men assaulted the dog the way football players kick field goals.

I'll bet you rooted against Toto in the "Wizard of Oz", didn't you?
I'm sorry the mean widdle doggie that bit your widdle hand scarred you so badly, but this story has little to do with "leash laws". It's a sad tale of three gutless little psychopaths who should thank their lucky stars that they aren't anywhere near me.
I'd peel them like grapes...

You are an idiot. It sounds to me like that scumbag already hired a defense lawyer..and it's you. Chill. The dog was TWO freakin pounds for cripes sake.

When I was 8, a friends german shepherd bit my knee.
I made the dog lick the blood off and after that we were friends.

Why do people like Crawford even exist? Sub-human slime, that's what he is. His parents should hang their heads in shame for the poor way they raised him. The only smile that comes to my face from reading this article is thinking about Crawford "getting it the hard way" from his jailmates every night for however long he's in the slammer (which he hopefully will go to).

One of the men ''with tattoos on both arms was holding the dog like a football,'' Lewis said. ''The other one backed up and kicked him
like a place kicker.'' Naw.... this wasn't fear... just sick SOBs.

If anyone did that to my dog, they'd be dead. Plain and simple.

After Gizmo's death, Lewis said, he chased the three men until he caught Crawford, and made him pick up Gizmo's body and take it upstairs to McKenzie.I'd be interested in the details of how Lewis "made him" do this. I'm not sure Lewis showed as much restraint as the article might lead one to believe. But I don't think the police are too interested in any technical misdeeds that Lewis may have committed, or threats he may have made.

My suspicion is that the little dog attacked a man or his child, who kicked at it to get it to stop trying to bite his shoe... and ended up puncturing it's lungs with a broken rib. Have you ever ~seen~ a yorkshire terrier?
They are tiny. Even one that bites would be more comical than threatening to a couple adult men.

Killing someone else's 2-pound terrier: a felony.
Killing your own 2-pound fetus: a right.

I realize it's rage toward an injustice...but I found myself calling for the complete annihilation of Fallajah too, based upon a couple of hundred morons with no jobs who killed 4 American workers...albeit probably CIA.
I'm as guilty as the next then.....

I made the dog lick the blood off and after that we were friends. Was that before or after he licked his privates?
To: Robert_Paulson2
If the cops doubt their story why would they want to upgrade the charges? There's nothing in the story that says they don't believe them. I don't know what you find so mentally challenging about a toy dog versus a full grown man. I'm not calling for his death and he did have to pay $25,000 in bail which is good enough for me. I do get why this would annoy people. It someone victimizing an innocent animal that can't defend itself.
