I'm a Guinness man myself. But if I want a non-stout, I'll have a Sam Adams or (if they don't have it) a Heineken. Another of my favorite beers is Elm City, which is only available in certain parts of Connecticut (but alas, I haven't had one in years).

BTW, Dan, I'm heading over to Michigan in a few weeks (I'll probably hit Detroit, Ann Arbor, Frankenmuth, Lansing, Holland, Traverse City, and several places in the eastern UP). Any local beers you would care to recommend?
