III Corps is composed of two active divisions (1st Cavalry and 4th Infantry), one reserve division (49th Armored .. Texas Lone Star), 13th Corps Support Command (over a brigade in size), and the 6th AirCav .. well over 60,000 troops. By comparison, a MEF (at least as of a few years ago) is comprised of about 53,000 Marines (a heavy division, an air wing, and associated support elements).
