Mornin' to the Finest.
So many traditions to choose from - guess that list grows with each passing year.
As a young pup, we awoke on Resurrection Sunday to the aroma of Hot Cross Buns warming in the oven and Dad's Easter Breakfast offerings. This would be after spending the previous night coloring eggs and applying a fresh coat of shoe polish to our shoes - even if they were new.
We didn't make a big deal out of Easter egg hunting, focusing instead on getting ready for Sunday School and Church services. That usually meant new Spring clothes all around the family of seven. Dresses and bonnets for the ladies, white shirt and ties for us guys.
After church, Grandma, Grandpa, and two aunts would be joining us for a big dinner - usually ham and all the fixin's that go with it.
After dinner, the aunts passed out chocolate bunnies - and that's when the hard choices were made. Do I bite off the tail first or the ears??? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

Forgot all about that. Cute graphic too. I also remember filling our easter basket with the eggs and other goodies (included a butter lamb my aunt would "sculpt") and taking it to church to be blessed.
So...how about traditions for Logan and Christian????

I enjoyed your recollections (((((DD)))))))
It made me remember how my Dad would want his girls to look their best for Easter Sunday. He always had a fresh orchid corsage for my Mom, older sister and me.
[sigh] - Time surely flies, doesn't it?
PS - that's one of my favorite secular Easter graphics - LOL!!

Dave, your Easter 'story' is great - and you really know how to add a punch line - that graphic is hilarious!

Sounds alot like the Easter Sundays in my past. Always loved the ham, potato salad, and banana pudding.
