[history]
April 7, 2004 -- MTV has an unqualified hit on its hands with "I Want a Famous Face," the show about young people who go through painful, often grueling plastic surgery to look like their heroes. But it may not be a hit the network altogether wants.

I wonder how many Jennifer Anniston clones are out there now? That woman's smile muscles must be frozen in place by now! Surely someone one (or four) is pulling duty for her?

What a society!
its Holy Week , our Marines are getting pummelled by idiotic crazed fanatics, and yet a goodly portion of our society can watch these pathetic shows without a hitch.....
Will somebody tell these imbeciles that there's a war going on....

Not sure what that'll get ya.
Reckon a person could get more mileage with a dog's spine transplant.

I have a confession to make -- I watched the Brad Pitt wannabe episode. It was one of the sickest things I've ever seen. Not only did these twin brothers end up looking more like Hillary Swank than Brad Pitt, but they appeared to act like incestuous gay lovers -- holding hands, telling each other "I love you," etc. Any other freepers see this show and get the same impression I did?

"... I want a neck like Henry Rollins." Quit your job and become a rebar carrying 'rod buster' at a construction site that does concrete work.
That, or a lot of military presses at the gym. You can do it at home with dumbbells too.

This is sad. It reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode in which people would go to a clinic that would remake their appearance into a standardized model such as Tina 1739 or Tad 6241.
This is the influence of Hollyweird and Madison Avenue over average people who lack self-confidence/esteem. All of us are creatures of God and, while we may not favor Brad, or Ahnuld, or The Rock, or Pam, how we look is part of what makes each of us unique. Assuming someone else's appearance, like obtaining wealth, won't make any of these people happy. It only makes them someone else - and NOT the unique individual that God created.

Butthead, viewing a Rollins video: "Woah! Look at his neck! I bet he gets a lot of chicks with that neck!"

I watched the Brad Pitt wannabe episode. I watched about 5 minutes of that while flipping channels one evening. What struck me is that both of them looked EXACTLY like Roger Waters. At first I thought they had to be his sons, because the resemblance is uncanny.

In earlier episodes, twins underwent surgery to look more like Brad Pitt, and a 21-year-old, plus-size model from Florida got a full-body tuck to look more like "Titanic" star Kate Winslet. She should have just loaded up on the Twinkies and looked more like "Titanic" star Titanic...

There's something really wrong with a society when people want to look like narcissistic twits.
Beauty can't be manufactured.
