On another thread about the casualties, before the tenth post, I believe, someone asked something to the effect of, "what'll this do to Bush's poll numbers?"

Even though the guy was a Bush supporter, and I'm sure a patriotic conservative, I still felt disgusted.

We're tearing at each other over political BRAVO SIERRA while some of the finest Americans to ever live might be wounded or dying. People ON BOTH SIDES are trying to score political points that, frankly, while this battle is going on, don't mean squat.

All that matters is those men, and this...

They stood up. They were called upon. And they went...all the way to everlasting glory.

They did it for us all, because they believed in something beyond themselves.

What in God's name is border control, neo vs. paleo, and poll numbers next to that?

I agree, and I would feel disgusted as well if that was the first question. Today's events should have very little to do with politics and much more to do with sending thoughts to the families of those lost. However, the afterthoughts of a Kerry presidency during this time in history I fear that we'd be sending thoughts and prayers out to many, many, many more families...
