Letting people that are up to no good cross our borders. Letting the 9-11 hijackers just waltz right in. You know protecting the American homeland. Things like that.

Where would you rather fight it out with terrorists who want to kill you, me, your kids, my kids? On your street, or on Iraq's?

While you worry about protecting thousands of miles of border from from 19 very dedicated people, I'm going to concentrate on supporting taking the fight to the problem and crushing our enemy in their backyard. If for no other reason than so my kids won't have to see the horror.

To each his own, I guess...

"I still felt disgusted"

I agree, and I would feel disgusted as well if that was the first question. Today's events should have very little to do with politics and much more to do with sending thoughts to the families of those lost. However, the afterthoughts of a Kerry presidency during this time in history I fear that we'd be sending thoughts and prayers out to many, many, many more families...

Well I think here we have a strategy difference. I say protecting our borders and not letting evildoers walk right in is the best policy to protect ourselves. Some think letting our boys get killed in Iraq streetfighting is more effective. Go figure.

Prayers on the way for your nephew. Don't worry about Greg Weston. It appears that he is either a teenager or his mama dropped him on his head a lot when he was little.

You know, if you even used half the brain God gave you, you'd realize you just argued yourself into a corner with the whole, 'Hitler, neo-CON' crap. If it weren't for isolationist attitutdes like YOURS, we probably could have stopped Hitler AND Japan sooner. But nooo... don't send our boys to do the jobs of countries that can't take care of themselves.

Thank GOD most Americans have learned since then. And I say most since you clearly have not.

Oh, thanks for that link, found this:

________________________________________________________________________________

I've said it before and I will again ... the U.S. Marines sustained greater casualities (KIA) in the first hour of the assault on Iwo Jima in WWII than the U.S. and coalition forces have lost in Gulf War I (Desert Storm), the military action in Afghanistan and the Iraq war to date. Questions from the squemish? If so ... do you remember 9-11?

Yeah it's about as simple as those who compare some tin horn mid-east dictators former country to Nazi Germany. That was the point if you were paying attention. Apparently you were not.

Tet offensive only succeeded in Vietnam because we cut and ran (with help from the domestic "peace" movement). The Shiite/Sunni "Tet" offensive will only succeed for precisely the same reasons.

I would agree. But how long will America have an administration interested in prosecuting this war? Democrats may yet find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

You mean the guy who murdered over 300,000 people, routinely used chemical weapons on Iranians during the war, whose troops raped and beat innconent people in Kuwait, whose sons were notorious for murder and rape? That one?

We're all concerned. That's why the passionate responses.

Good men died today. Today, I don't care about poll numbers, neo or paleo-cons, or even Leftists. On days like today, we are all AMERICANS, dammit.

Of course were all against those brutal sick animals. They oughta bow and thank Ali Baba that I'm not in charge. I more than likely would have killed way to many people. I understand the anger.

But being an American we have the right to speak our mind. No rules there. We all support the troops, but damnit we can also speak our minds. This just didn't happen today for cryin out loud. It started *many* months ago. Don't forget the first ones to die in that POS country.

I've got family in several veterans cemeteries, and I too am a vet.

I also cannot understand why some people think that a Mexican coming over the border to work at a Wal-Mart is a worse threat than terrorist-sponsoring states.

Since you brought it up, you and I have no idea who is entering our borders. Lets not kid each other. Tons of drugs, fraud, lots of crime, choking off the social services etc. Lets not play stupid. If you can get a truck full of 50tons of pot, or a truck with 123 people crammed in....Well you can figure out what else can get in.

Are you not concerned that while we are killing those freaks over there, some that don't take a bullet, while his brother does, is going to me more fanatical. Think about it. You sure you want an endless conga-line of people entering this country at will, illegally? Put on your security cap for a minute, and you'll agree, the safety and security of our country comes first. And it's not happening my friend.

They are SO angry that those borders weren't sealed off, but not because they're worried about Terrs

For the record, you bet I am. And you should be too.
