The instability prompted the United Nations to temporarily halt convoys bringing Iraqi refugees back from Iran in the south. Hmmm...
It is obvious to everyone, except the media, of course, that this 'uprising' has Iran as its evil source.
It would be interesting to know the ideological makeup of these 'refugees'.

al-Sadr's followers controlled the governor's office, police stations and the Imam Ali mosque, one of Shia Muslim's holiest shrines.
Someone in another thread posted that Sadr was Shi'ite. If they have taken over a Shia shrine, how closely related are the Shia and Shi'ites?

I didn't much cotton to that term either. Mavericks are generally considered heroic in general English usage. Maybe the marines ought to be taking up positions outside Treasonous News Network.
