Well that's the way its supposed to work, but where are these hypothetical candidates about which you speak? With a nod to Edmund Burke, evil is triumphing because good men are doing nothing. In order to elect candidates who will serve We The People, they have to volunteer to run first. In our modern society, its hard enough finding people trustworthy enough to take the reins of government, much less who are willing to run.

The time's a-comin' when the people are going to have to rise up and reassert their will on those who pretend to serve us, while actually serving themselves and the UN.
