My wife is pregnant with our first, so now I hear all these updates on what's new with the baby. The other day she told me that it (we don't know the sex) found it's first toy: it is swinging around the umbilical cord for fun. Not only is that hilarious, it makes me even more dumbfounded that somebody could believe it isn't a human life. It is a human merely in it's very first stages of development, same as any other lifeform. Mark my words, abortion will go down as a stain on American history right next to slavery.

My belief is that on some level, terrorism is karmically (ie retribution by God) connected to the practice of abortion. The babies, as a conscious soul coming in, I think have an awarness at some level, of the possibilty of death in utero. All humans now, at some level in the back of our mind, have an awareness of the possibility of death as we board a train or plane. As abortion stops so will the other.

My firstborn's favorite pacifying behavior is to suck her right thumb and twiddle her hair with her left hand. I have a pic of her doing that at 6 mos old. My wife is due May 26 with our second girl. An ultrasound 2 months ago (6mos of pregnancy)revealed my new daughter sucking her right thumb and twiddling her "hair" with her left hand IN THE WOMB. I now have a pic of my first girl at 6mos old next to a pic of my unborn daughter. The pics are identical (other than the poor quality of the ultrasound)and show the amazing similar behaviour.

Since becoming a father, I have a whole new pit in my stomach that harbors a deeper fear than I have ever felt in my life. I see my daughters face and cringe at the thought of anything taking away that sweet smile. I cannot imagine the horror of harming such a sweet little one. I can often talk to my wife's belly and get the unborn baby to react. I can rub parts that are poking against my wife's belly and sense her reaction to my touch.

God truly is in our kids and I believe that we murder a little part of God when abortions are performed.

I wonder if anyone has done a psychological analysis on abortion? Though we have attempted and still are attempting to rid our society of God and Religion, and replace that with secularism, you cannot cast God out of the human psyche, or guilt from the soul. Some sort of God must be obeyed by man. So we worship Self and offer human sacrifice as an atonement of the guilt we all have all in the name of the god of self. We unconsciously know that we need forgiveness for our sins so we offer up the most innocent and pure as a sin offering. Carl Jung would have a field day with this.
