The fact that Air America is now on XM Satellite Radio has been well-publicised by the mainstream media. On XM, this is known as "America Left" (channel 167). However, my new XM newsletter also informed me that there is a new "America Right" (channel 166). Here is the announcement:
"Two New Talk Channels! America Left and America Right are the most recent additions to the XM lineup, offering perspectives from both ends of the political spectrum. Liberal satirist Al Franken, comedienne Janeane Garofalo, hip hop icon Chuck D. and more are featured daily on America Left. Tune in to America Right to hear the conservative voices of Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, and others."

Thanks for the info. I heard Franken on XM and got so mad I called them and told them I was going to cancel or go to Sirius if they didn't have that punk Franken on.
I'll re-think that after hearing about the "right" channel.
I love XM. I'd never buy another car without it!

Me too, but I wish they'd pick up Rush somewhere. I'll have to check out Bennett's show when I drive from AZ to MN next week.... What time is he on?

Another vote for XM, I love mine. Not sure when Bennet is on but it appears they reshuffled their line up now. I couldn't find my Laura Ingraham this morning but I'm pretty sure its still carried, probably just not live. I also noticed they added Tony Snow's program at 8:00 am on ASK (not the America Right station) which seemed pretty good.
I've heard others talk about missing Rush on XM but my theory has always been Rush is so dominant that its hard to find locations where you can't get him on a regular AM station so it's not as big of a deal.

I listned briefly to Franken-stein on my XM and found it so boring I couldn't even get mad. It was just a listing of the Democratic talking points and really no different than listening to CNN or the network news programs.

It reminds me of the Houston KPFT station, Pacifica. Which has a lot of people very bad at radio that say the same thing every other sentence that Franken does:
Uhhhhhhhhhhh.........

I love my XM, even though I own stock in Sirius (figured that as the newcomer, it would have more growth potential).
My big beef is that through no fault of its own, XM cannot get Rush, because he has contracts with STATIONS through his "EIB" network, and they won't allow him to go on XM.

How do you like satellite radioOne of the best investments I have made. If you travel alot it is perfect for just about any musical taste. Channels 166 (conservative talk) and 121 (Fox News) are always available and if you wish Sports Talk or Comedy or an OLD RADIO SHOW from the 30's, they too are 24/7.

I love the clarity and variety of XM. It's the best $10 I spend each month. I was very surprised to discover that I could receive XM inside my house with only the boom box antenna. I carry it from room-to-room. My local radio station only carries two hours of Hannity, but XM gives me all three. However, my favorite channel is channel 10, America. At night, they play nothing but cheatin', fightin', and truck-drivin' songs.

XM is the best and most fun investment I have made. Started with a Roady that morphed into a Skyfi so I can take it everywhere with ease. I always listened to Savage on The Buzz. Will Drudge be carried on the new "right" channel? I really hate that name. Conservative is much more desciptive and accurate.
Call it what you will, XM is the best. Fantastic music stations without all the repetition of its competitor.

XM is fabulous. I was a pioneer. Bought the car receiver in Jan. 2002. Have it in the car and in my home.
XM is far superior to Sirius with one exception. Live sports. Similar to Direct TV vs. Dish Network.
BTW, Sirius added "Air America" Monday. So both of them carry the Leftists.
