"The moralistic approach decries patriotism and nationalism as evil forces and argues that international law, institutions, regimes and norms are morally superior to those of individual nations. Commitment to humanity must supersede commitment to nation. This view is found among intellectuals, academics and journalists.

Perhaps the acrimony regarding outsourcing on FR and other pages is a function of patriotism more than economics.

This is a classic paper, to be sure, but the author could have included some of the psychological studies on small groups and small group behavior.

The pornographic perverted 'nation' is seen in the rulings of its 'leaders'.

The 'marriage' (contracts) with confusion and death?

The 'high' priesthood of Darwin's Sociologists and Psychiatry are seen in it's,.... 'Wholly' scripture.

The worldview culture is seen in the extremes of it's anarchy and controls.

(And the elimination of true 'free' speech,....anywhere, anytime.)

(PC?).......behind the 'Wall' of Soviet KGB litigation now in Amerika?

ABA=KGB?

/sarcasm

The "elites" prefer a "planned" economy and society, with themselves, of course, as the planners. They have more in common with their fellow "planners" across the globe, than they do with joe-sixpack.

When your main skill is intrigue and organizational politics, and your main asset is your web of contacts and the powerful people who owe favors to you, the last thing you want to see is the chaos and randomity of a free market economy, where upstarts can rise to riches -- upstarts who owe you nothing

That is true to the extent that those of us opposed to outsouvring undersand that there is a hogher value to being that purely the economic one,namely that liberty is the highest value and that economic freedom underpins political freedom.

This article explains why the left cannot understand why, at state GOP conventions across the country, the vast majority of delegates still tear up when Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" blasts over some bad sound system. We are proud. Some families have paid high prices for our freedom. Some pay the small price of paying a bit just to be proud.

This is why we have open borders. Our elites are not loyal to America.
