(IsraelNN.com) 2001 - Islamic Jihad senior terrorist Iyad Hardan was killed when a public telephone exploded as he picked it up in the center of Jenin.

The bomb was probably planted by a Palestinian intended for a Jew. But the terrorist didn't know that most Jews use cell phones.

I think it was a IDF counter-terror operation, considering there are no Jews in Jenin and it is under Palestinian Authority control. :)

Well, for starters, it is in enemy territory, and Israel found good use to it by eliminating a terrorist.
