[history]
April 4, 2004 -- RICHARD Clarke is sorry. Any American who read a newspaper or watched TV after the former White House anti-terrorism chief testified before the 9/11 commission knows that.
But just as it fell to Clarke to make unauthorized amends to those supposedly wronged by the Bush administration, it now falls to another innocent to apologize to the American public: We, your media, failed you. Those entrusted with informing you failed you - we tried hard, but that doesn't matter because we failed.

The media's been failing us for years. This isn't news.
To: kattracks
The Western media is failing us by not reporting the truth about the world wide threat from Islamic teachings. They are uniformly whitewashing this, instead of having the intellectual courage to come out with the absolute truth. Every single Muslim atrocity worldwide must be reported daily. We can fight wars til the cows come home, but it will do no good until this vile belief system is marginalized, much like Naziism was marginalized after WWII.
