The South didn't violently plot to overthrow the union. That's always been a key charge of the other side, and one which we all need to point out is a straw man at every opportunity. Leaving the Union isn't the same thing as abolishing it. That's why Southerners were called Secessionists, not Abolitionists.
You're doing a good job, helping them out there. I'm sure they won't appreciate it, though.
