However, some reports suggested that the blasts started when something went wrong with a pickup loaded with heavy weapons and ammunition at Munawar Market.

Not your average farmers' market...

..the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan ..

I thought I knew my geography, but when I first read this I assumed this is perhaps how the new Muslim immigrants refer to the south of France and northern Spain.

You can't help but chuckle when you read something like this. Can you even imagine the amount of weapons and ammunitions in that market to cause an explosion like that? Isn't this the terrorist area of Pakistan?

A work-related accident I suppose. These guys are certainly well-armed for simple shop-keepers. I wonder who their cusstomers are? Taliban and AlQ perhaps?

Driver of the pick-up Hazrat Jan was reported to have received injuries

It must not have been too huge of an explosion, if the guy lived.

T'is good to read "explosion" coupled with "Muslim shop keepers" in that part of the world. I can just imagine the scenario:

Muslim shop keeper watching as al-Qaeda customers mingle, happy with a good day of terrorism behind them. Walking down isle 9 inspecting the RPGS, when suddenly Abdul yells, "allah akbar," throwing his hands up in the air...then, as the detonator he was holding, slowly falls toward the C-4, with a grunt he mutters, "Ooops!" (or some Arabic translation of "OH, SH#T!"), before the boom.

Poor Abdul (and some friends) die, not like a jihadi, but like a goat. No virgins come to greet him and his buddies on the other side.

Bummer. 8^)
