This story hurts. The three planned their crime spree in Attica while waiting to be paroled. One had shot a cop in 1988. Terrible.

Not in say, Texas.... but probably there will be a problem in NY. These guys should be toast... or compost... in a hurry, not an excuse for government paid defense lawyers to earn money jerking us around for 15 years.

If they tried to give these guys the death penalty, John Kerry go on a hunger strike in protest--he would give up foie gras for a week.

They deserve the death penalty.

The Parole Board that is.

"the Long Island man chose to work two full-time jobs - and that cost him his life."

Typical media blather. His choice did not kill him!

The man had pride and character. It was not the victim's fault he was killed. The killers and their warm puppy parole boards killed this citizen.

Why anyone puts their life on the line for any large chain store is beyond me. A small family business, okay, but a large corporation,no way.

We had a young CVS clerk killed here in Boston a few months ago because he was trying to be a hero.

Sad.

Arrest all the judges who let these creeps back on the street by failing to properly sentence them.

Throw them in jail with these creeps.

Throw away the key.

If "Momma" shows up, arrest the Bit_h! and throw her in jail with them all.

Throw away the key.

If Oprah opens her trap, throw her in there, too.

Throw away the key.

Yeesh...
I hate the media's stupid way of twisting the truth.

Title should read...
"Victim's heroic life and tragic death..."

I didn't know Chris Gilardi, but I doubt he thought about the good of the corporation. He pulled the alarm because it was the right thing to do. And they shot him.

People who chose Satan's path will always be upset at those who do the right thing.

In New York Newsdays account, Chris Gilardi was shot "within seconds" of the killers entering the store. They believe his jerky motions caused by his injuries may have caused the creeps to fire.

The whole thing sucks. Awful.

The entire state and local government, from the governor on down, is directly responsible for this guys murder.

It boggles the mind that persons other than the local apparatchiks and criminals continue to live there.

If the terrorists ever slip in a nuke, they will be doing us a favor by floating it into NY harbor.
