Most Americans want immigration cut back and all illegal aliens sent back. Why is the will of the majority, expressed in polls and referenda, not reflected in law or policy?

Oh come on Pat? Don't be a boob. We all know American's prefer the endless, epic flood of millios across our borders. We have plenty of room here. Look at the plains of Oklahoma. Why we could build ten thousand, fifty story pink apartment buildings. We'll have two laborers for every citizen!

Oklahoma really IS a hub for coyotes isn't it? Sheesh. I think that's why my mom is going to vote republican. Not that pubbies seem to care these days, but imagine Effing Kerry!

Having said that, if they got rid of the illegal aliens and migrants picking the lettuce, prices would go up for a while but I don't think people would stop buying lettuce. I think prices would go down and stabilize at a reasonable market rate.
