We didn't like Bubba but it was not on this scale.

Just think back to 1996.

It was ABC (Anybody But Clinton).

The Republicans nominated a prominent Senator that Republicans did not really like all that much.

The President enjoyed a robust economy and relative peace in the world.

Incumbent re-elected easily.

The only variable in 2004 is terrorism.

This has apparently becoming a stool-smelling leftist talking point as also proposed by this piece of dung:

This has become the new meme of the left. Everybody is talking about "mercenaries" now. And they have no idea how disgustingly heartless and horrible they sound.

He'd scream if it was suggested that images of Saddam's rapes/murders/tortures et al should be put on the front page.
He's obviously suffering from that deflated ego thing I hear Leftists suffer from, so to appear tougher and smarter in his eyes he figuratively spits on the dead and parades around as if he did a brave thing.
Wonder what his reaction would be to find out that if HE was in Fallujah that the terrorwannabes would have killed him as well regardless of how well he 'understands and feels compassion for them.'

Markos "Kos" Zuniga

We need to remember this response from Zuniga and other media authoritarians the first time a Reuters or Al Arabiya crew is butchered by a Shiite mob in Iraq, as seems more and more likely every day.

It doesn't worry the terror-tools that we are on to them, we don't kill inciters and propagandists. It should worry them a great deal that Black Flag, the Shia anti-terrorist vigilante group, is onto them.

You know, Kos and his fellow propaganda-mercenaries endorse the Fallujah atrocity, but they would have screamed to high heaven if we had used flame-throwers to burn jihadi rats out of their holes in Afghanistan.

Of course, these are the same 6 and 7-figure prostitutes who condemn Israel for the "apartheid fence" while praising suicide bombers as "desperate people fighting back the only way they can."

This has become the new meme of the left. Everybody is talking about "mercenaries" now. And they have no idea how disgustingly heartless and horrible they sound.

And yet, those with the truly 'mercenary' interests in Iraq (ie, France, Russia, et al) are the darlings of the Left...says it all, don't it?

There are real repercussions to Bush's folly.

Delivering food to Iraqis is true folly. Bush should starve them. Right?

That said, I feel nothing over the death of merceneries [sic]. They aren't in Iraq because of orders, or because they are there trying to help the people make Iraq a better place. They are there to wage war for profit. Screw them.

Can anyone confirm this for me, please? I had read somewhere that these security men were there to protect food shipments. If so, this scum-bag is saying the men who are trying to feed the hungry and starving in that hell-hole got what they deserved.

Either the people who write this trash are so blinded by their hatred for Bush that they're mentally unbalanced - or they're evil SOBs.

I think that maybe your post gave me an epiphany...

I was wondering the same thing, but now that I see what you wrote, I wonder if we both just didn't get it backwards.

Maybe they're evil SOBs, and that's why they hate President Bush, and America, with such intensity.

South Dakota Democrat Candidate for US Congress Stephanie Herseth advertises on KOS!

Found at: http://southdakotapolitics.blogs.com/south_dakota_politics/2004/week14/index.html#a0001148900

"Herseth and Daily Kos
The blogosphere is abuzz about the outrageous post made by the operator of the Daily Kos blog regarding American citizens brutally killed, dismembered, and incinerated in Fallujah, Iraq this week ("Screw them" Kos wrote). OpinionJournal has the details. Also, read Instapundit.

Stephanie Herseth advertises on Daily Kos and has a link to Daily Kos from her website. She has reportedly reaped thousands of dollars in campaign donations as a result.

Congressman Martin Frost of Texas has already publicly repudiated Daily Kos. Stephanie Herseth should too, as the state GOP has already urged. A South Dakota political candidate has no business associating herself with someone who gloats over the barbaric murder of Americans fighting and dying to build a free and democratic Iraq."

Here you go Mark:

ANATOMY OF THE ATTACK--Ambushed American Contractors in Wrong Place at Wrong Time

The four contractors left the Iraqi city of Taji on Tuesday to escort a convoy of several flatbed trucks full of goods. The plan was to spend the night at a U.S. base called TQ, west of Fallujah. Instead, the convoy ended up at a base east of Fallujah.
