Sooo... the upshot of all this is that we need to keep all these low-skill low-wage jobs here in the U.S. but then insist on paying them more money than their skills are worth?

Lemme guess: you're a big fan of the minimum wage too? Here... we can fix all these problems by just raising the minimum wage to six figures.

Actually, you didn't address is at all...you said:
Marx was horrificly wrong in believing he could construct a communist utopian alternative. But that doesn't negate the fact that he was in complete agreement with Adam Smith, David Ricardo and all other credible economists on the detrimental effects of trade on the wages of the nations' labor force.

Just because he agrees with someone doesn't make him any less wrong. It also doesn't place you putting in less credence in his words. To use quotes from Marx shows us where you really stand. But then we already knew that.
