They ought to change the locks. Or move while he's gone.
My sister was SO destructive that I have actually severed ties with my immediate family over her. ( they were physically abusive, both to her and to me and all that did was make her worse) She is violent and too dangerous to be around for my kid. And she won't stay on her meds.
She likes weapons. Has been jailed for assaulting a cop.
She's crazy, but she's cute, so she played on the cop's sympathy, he let her go.
She's mean as cat-pee and usually gets away with it cold. She has about ruined several lives, including mine with her antics.
So I upped and moved and left no address, to keep my little girl safe. I keep a loaded shot-gun just for my sister, though.

Wow... that's terrible.
Before I started dating my now husband, he was seeing a girl who is paranoid schizophrenic. He broke up with her because she would not take her meds and she became violent. She found out that he had asked me out and started looking for someone to kill us both. Her parents found out and moved her to another city. I still wonder about her and I still worry that she's still ticked off.
I understand where you're coming from. This young girl will get LOTS of sympathy and kum-ba-yah. But I'm sure she probably won't get the help she really needs... and she needs a strong punishment as well.

I keep a loaded shot-gun just for my sister, though.I had a younger brother who was the same way basically.
Threatened my life and limb because I tried to have him commited to a hospital.
He died a few years back of a OD.
We just could not help him.
There was no options but to let him hit the wall.

Tiamat, I have a brother that sounds similar. I have not isolated myself from him however he does live far away thank god and if he did come to visit I would not let my children alone with him. My brothers luck did not come from being cute though, his daddy ( my daddy) always bailed the punk out. Now he is in his 30s and perhaps one of the most unproductive members of society I have ever witnessed.
Enough sadness with him to go around : (

Sounds alot like my daughter...she strangled a cat at age 2, I had to put her in therapy at 7 for being violent, she threatened to kill me and hubby when she was 12, I committed her at age 14. She would not stay on her meds, she'd put them under her tongue and then spit them out when we weren't looking. After she got out, she filed a false abuse charge against us after she knocked me unconscious by slamming me up against the refrigerator and then assaulted a cop. She went into state custody, where they only enabled her. She is in prison now for burglarizing my house for drug money.
On top of that...she's pregnant again as she was prostituting for drugs as well. She's already got two kids she can't take care of, one (4 y/o) was adopted by a family member and her ex-boyfriend has custody of the 3 y/o, I pay him child support to help him out. Fortunately, I have close contact with both of the kids, just bought them a bunkbed yesterday for when they come out to the house. I just made arrangements with an adoption agency last week for the new baby, since we don't even know who the father is. It's sad.
